Bajaj Auto recently unveiled the Chetak electric scooter in India. Bajaj Chetak electric scooter not only marks the re-introduction of the 'Chetak' moniker in the country after almost 15 years but also the re-entry of the two-wheeler maker in the scooter segment.
To be launched in India in January 2020, Bajaj Chetak electric scooter will be initially sold in Pune and Bengaluru from the existing Probiking network with KTM. Here are five important details you need to know about the new Chetak.

We are expecting the new Chetak electric scooter to be available in the price range of Rs 90,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh.
Bajaj Chetak motor and battery
Powering the new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter will be a 4kW electric motor. There will be an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery.
Bajaj Chetak range
When you talk about an electric vehicle, be it two-wheeler or four-wheeler, there is always a query about its range. Now, the new Chetak electric scooter will have two driving modes -- Eco and Sport. While the Eco mode will have a range of 95 km, the Sport mode will be good for 85 km.
Bajaj Chetak specifications
There will be a tubular single-sided suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear in Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. It will come with a single-sided cast aluminium swingarm. The new Chetak will have 12-inch wheels with a disc up front and a drum at the rear. The electric scooter will get regenerative braking system as well.
Bajaj Chetak features
The new Chetak will not have a Bajaj badge. It will come in an all-metal body with as many as six colour options and features like digital console, horseshoe-shaped LED headlight with DRLs and sequential scrolling LED blinkers.
