Aman died after his motorcycle hit a roadside tree while trying to flee the cops during lockdown in Assam’s Hojai district.
The incident took place at Kaki Tangia area under Kaki police station in Hojai district on Tuesday evening.
The deceased person was identified as Zavesuddin hailing from Nilbagan Methigaon area in the same district and he had gone to Kaki Tangia area to purchase some broiler chicken.
According to the reports, while returning to home, the man spotted police personnel and tried to flee from the area on his motorcycle. But he hit it a roadside tree and died on the spot.
"The man came here to purchase some broiler chicken. The incident took place while he was returning home," a local resident of Kaki area said.
Assam has reported 32 positive cases for Covid-19 so far and one among them died on April 10.
